Happy Place

Today I woke up and got to spend my morning time with Jesus on a balcony overlooking the ocean. This is my happy place.

I love that my God created the waves, the sand, and the fish that were jumping out of the water too close to where my sister and I were swimming.

Until I actually graduated high school I always said I wanted to study Marine Biology at a university.

I'm so glad I didn't.

[these pictures were actually snapped at sunset.]

I'm not good at keeping up with a blog at all and it has been so long since my last post.

Oh! but one of my two best friends and her sweet husband are having a baby!

this is her. this picture was taken a long time ago.

And even though I'm around preggo ladies often (being from the Ramp), I'm more excited for her baby than I have ever been over a kid in my whole life. It's going to be the coolest child ever!

And seeing how baby McCollum is in its 'happy place' developing & whatnot into my favorite babes ever, this breaking news ties in perfectly with the title of this post which originally referred to the beach.

Maria is about 2 months along at this point. And she's just now finding out! Although I knew it a few weeks ago when she "changed." Ha! She seriously has had the biggest personality shift ever (I love her just the same) and I called her out on catching the bump before she even knew.

Seeing her handle the trials of pregnancy has me considering the fact that I might one day be able to handle it too. (Maybe it's because she's easier for me to relate to and everyone else I know is so much older that it seems child-bearing is no where close for me.) With that being said, how amazing would a baby Hub be? I mean, wow, we'd make an awesome little musician man. I'd like to get as close to a degree as possible though before that happens.

So for now, Scott's still giving music lessons, I'm still taking way too many classes. And together we're loving Jesus as much as we possibly can.

"Beloved, you do faithfully
whatever you do for the brethren
and for strangers,
who have borne witness of
your love
before the church."

3John 5
